Our Team: Gabriela Maza

Gaby is a native Spanish speaker, who grew up in a lovely resort town near Mexico City. She has been teaching internationally to children of ages ranging from 2 to 6 years for the past 10 years. Her focus is on stimulating curiosity in young children, meanwhile immersing her students in proper Spanish language by playing, singing, dancing, and craft making. Gaby’s education is as rich as it is broad; she holds a Bachelor’s Degree from La Salle University, Mexico City, as well as certificates in Social Cognitive Development, Writing Strategies and Verbal Reasoning & Reading from Anahuac University, Baja California, Mexico.

During her professional life Gaby has had the chance to profoundly impact children from various countries and age groups, whether teaching at Queen Elizabeth Elementary School in Baja California, Mexico; Foothill College in Los Altos, CA and Colegio Ciudad de Mexico Pre-school in Mexico City; or helping low income mothers develop their skills in order to manage financial challenges through different non-profit organizations like Casa Alianza in Mexico City.

In 2008, Gaby started working as an instructor at ISIS Maternity teaching children from ages 6 months to 3 years, which has been more than just a fun experience. This career opportunity has provided tremendous learning and stimulation activities for the children she has taught.

Gaby is happily married and mother of three wonderful children: Fernando, Renata and Natalia. Their ages range from 7 months to 15 years. During her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
